Gifts For Your Sponsored Children

As a sponsor, you can send gifts to your sponsored child! Giving a gift to your child is a great way to support and stay connected with your child. You can give gifts for special occasions such as birthdays and Christmas, or simply surprise your child with a gift to show you’re thinking about him/her.

How can I send my sponsored child a gift?
There are two options:

1) Monetary Gifts:

While we cannot distribute cash or checks directly to your sponsored child, you can send a monetary gift and our field staff will purchase a gift on your behalf and deliver it to your sponsored child.
You may also suggest a gift that you want us to buy and we will do our best to accommodate your suggestion.

You can send a monetary gift online under the Donate button of our website’s homepage by selecting the“Gift For Your Child” option and following the steps to checkout. We accept credit cards and debit cards online.

You can also choose to give by check/money order.
If you decide to give via check, please pay to the order of Good Neighbors USA, and mail it to: P.O. Box 86755 Los Angeles, CA 90086.
On the check, please include your donor ID (4-digit number) and your child’s name and ID.

How much of my monetary gift goes to my child?
100% of your gift will be used to buy a gift for your child.

2) Mail a Packaged Gift

Good Neighbors is unable to send packages on our donors’ behalf because of delivery and customs processes and costs.
However, you are welcome to send your gift directly to your child’s country field office after we confirm your contact information and gift contents.
Please be aware of the risks of theft or loss, and that it can take several months for the gift to arrive and be delivered to your child.

I’m ready to send my packaged gift. What’s the next step?
Before sending your packaged gift, please contact our Donor Management Team at (877) 499-9898 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and provide us with the following information:

Your name and donor ID (4-digit number)
Your child's name, ID, & country
The contents of your gift and whether you will be sending a card
The approximate date that you plan to mail the gift package to the field office

We will provide you with the address of the field office that you will be sending the packaged gift to. After you have received a confirmation email from us, your gift is ready to be sent!

When will my child receive my gift?
We send monetary gifts along with the sponsorship donations to our field offices every month. Please allow approximately 2-4 months for your child to receive your gift, considering our monthly remittance cycle as well as our field offices’ travel schedules to the communities in which our sponsored children live.

Will I receive a confirmation that my child has received the gift?
Yes. In approximately 4-5 months, you will receive a thank you letter from your child. We will also send you pictures of your child receiving your gift.
